The happy goat creamery milk goats

All my goats are the Lamancha milk goat breed. Most all of them have a little bit of cross-breeding in their history with other milk breeds. I do not keep registration on them. I have never been a show animal person so was never able to justify the added expence of registration. I do keep health and milking records because that really doesn't take away from the goat's food money! Be that as it may, I do have some actual purebred registered does in my herd because they are good milkers and were for sale when I needed more milk.

Galena

Name: Galena
Breed: Lamancha x alpine - sired by a Forrest Pride buck we were told 😁
Date of birth: 2017
Galena came with Sandy. They are best buds. Galena is milking a little more than Sandy and keeps you on your toes!

Sandy

Name: Sandy
Breed: Lamancha x alpine - sired by a Forrest Pride buck
Date of birth: 2017
Sandy is doing very well here. She is making lots of milk even with the stress of transport and integrating into a new herd.

Uh-huh

Name: Uh-huh
Breed: Lamancha - purebred no papers
Date of birth: 2018
Sometimes called Oh-no depending on her mood, she is a mostly good goat with moments of neurotic behavior and is a good milker.

Fudge

Name: Fudge
Breed: Lamancha - daughter of Chocolate
Date of birth: 2019
Still alive! Fudge had a rough first freshening. Starting out with twins and the other goats picking on her, she powered thru and gave a lot of milk before being dried off early due to a brush with death from what appears to have been mycotoxins from a bad batch of feed. We have high hopes for her next lactation.

Oreo

Name: Oreo
Breed: Lamancha - daughter of Pearl
Date of birth: 2019
Oreo got her name by being colored like an oreo cookie. She is very sweet happy and slow moving. She likes to talk to people in whisper tones.

Jumper

Name: Jumper
Breed: Lamancha - daughter of Matilda
Date of birth: 2019
Jumper got her name by jumping out of a Rubbermaid tub that she almost couldn't see out of when she was only an hour old. Sandy is the only goat I've seen come close(she can hop onto the milk stand with no effort, just whoop! Here I am give me food!)

Bee bee

Name: Bee Bee
Breed: Lamancha - daughter of The Black Mamba
Date of birth: 2019
She is a good little powerhouse goat. She got her mom's short legs as well as her long & strong lactation. She also eats buttons & zippers.

Cupcake

Name: Cupcake
Breed: Lamancha - daughter of Daliah (Dolly)
Date of birth: 2019
Cupcake is shaping up to be a monster big goat just like her mom. Hopfully she will be a monster milker too.

Tulip

Name: Tulip
Breed: Lamancha - daughter of Petunia
Date of birth:2019
Just like her mom, she can be a real pain, but she is worth it. She is just too pretty & big to sell and thanks to her momma we have had a much worse milker(tiny handles & a strong kicking inclination, ARG!)

Candles

Name: Candles
Breed: Lamancha registered purebred
Date of birth: 2016
She is a very large brown goat with a huge udder. She loves to rub her face on me and have me scratch her neck. She is also demanding another photo shoot. She says I didn't get her good side!

Unicorn

Name: Unicorn
Breed: Lamancha registered purebred called Creme Brulee
Date of birth: 2018
Unicorn is a very happy gold goat she did not kid this spring, but we are optimistic about Fall 2020!

Mobbie

Name: Mobbie aka Matilda's Other Baby
Breed: Lamancha
Date of birth: January 2018
Mobbie is Matilda's daughter just like Chocolate her big sister.

Pumpkin

Name: Pumpkin
Breed: Lamancha
Date of birth: January 2018
Pumpkin is the daughter of Ginger. She has really cool horns and her mom's amazing udder refill rate!

Nutter butter

Name: Nutter Butter
Breed: Lamancha registered purebred(yes her registered name is long so we don't call her that)
Date of birth: 2015
About: We got 3 new wonderful goats who we renamed to Nutter Butter, Peanut Butter & Sandwich Cookie within 24 hours of arriving. Nutter Butter got her name during the first milking when she bounced, hopped & kicked the milk bucket! She is doing great for milking now, but the name stuck!

Chocolate

Name: Chocolate
Breed: Lamancha cross
Date of birth: 2017
Chocolate is the offspring of the biggest udder I have ever seen! (Matilda). She is so cute and she knows it. She gets away with murder!

Matilda

Name: Matilda
Breed: Lamancha cross?
Date of birth: 2010 we think...
About:Matilda is the great disappearing goat. She is right there and then poof gone. Her trick, I've come to realize, is she lays down and the brown makes her blend perfectly into the ground. The best part is she sleeps with her head on the ground so her profile is hidden.

Wattles

Name: Wattles
Breed: Lamancha registered purebred
Date Of Birth: 2014
About: Wattles is a road runner. Sometimes she pops thru the trees and takes off down the road. Last time, I am certain I heard her go "meep meep!!" as she took off.

Bee

Name: Beatrix aka The Black Mamba aka The Milk Machine we call her "Bee" for short.
Breed: Lamancha registered purebred
Date of birth: 2014
About: Bea is wonderful! She has put all her crazy tricks behind her and is just so sweet. She ambles up to me in the field and rubs her face on my back. She likes me to scratch where her horns would be. Apparently the phantom horns itch.

Morty

Name:Morticia aka morty
Breed:Lamancha
Date of birth:2014
About:Morty as I call her is Great! She is the watch dog of the herd and does a wide circuit checking for predators and snacking on the best forage before everyone else gets there.

Black nellie

Name: Black Nelly (yes she was prenamed when I got her and I already had a Nellie who was white!)
Breed: Lamancha pure bred no papers
Date of birth: 2014
About: Black Nelly is just sweet! She comes up to me in the field and licks my arm, rubs her head on my back and sleeps next to me. She is a great goat & a good producer too.

Butter cup

Name: Buttercup
Breed: Lamancha
Date of birth: 2018
Buttercup is not a goat that I thought highly of as she was growing up, mostly because of her mom being Dee who was loaded with sass. Buttercup has proven me wrong not only is she a good producer that is easy to milk, but she is very laid back and easy going.

To old to milk

These goats are retired.

Lizzy

Picture
Name: Lizzy
Breed: lamancha
Date of birth: 15 years ago
Lizzy passed on June 4th, 2018
About: She was very sweet & will be remembered fondly.

Izzy

Picture
Name: Izzy
Breed: Lamancha
Date of birth: 2004 thats right she is a teenager!
About: Izzy is Lizzy's daughter which means great age might be partly because of genetics!
Above photo is from September 2019 😎
